First off.. if this is in the wrong section, please move.. not sure where the should have gone...

Im looking into getting a AFR gauge for my 2.2 ls and a water temp.. first off, in order to get a AFR, can i just tap into the existing o2 sensor, or do i have to get a bung welded into the downpipe, and second, would i want a narrow band or a wideband gauge..

thanks for ur help, and also if anyone knows where i cant get gauges for a somewhat cheap price i would appreciate it greatly..

thank you

wide band, and i believe some wide bands allow you to completely replace the stock narrowband, so no additional bungs needed

but if i were to replace the stock narrow band, wont my car throw a CEL because its now a diff sensor in there.. not the stock one?

The AEM wideband replaces your stock O2 sensor, and it feeds to the gauge. It also gets wired into the stock wiring to send the information to the ECM. You will not throw a code going this route
