Dr. Vtec is here

I wish there were more builds on this site instead of intake and exhaust threads. Here goes, friends F20 S2000 motor spun a rod bearing. He ordered a new short block and we got to work. The first couple hours sailed by, got the tranny down to one last bolt. Decided we better not rush it. So today we pulled the tranny and the motor, man was that a ******* chore. Everything on this car is built on the driver side, wiring harness, I/M, fuel rail, etc. This car is a complete ******* ***** to work on. There were two bolts on the top of the 6 speed, and there was an inch to play with. In order to get them off we had to lower the sub frame to get to it. There is no room to work with this car, the tranny wiring harness was also a bitch. Most of the connectors were on top of the transmission. The only thing good about this was that we had a lift, power tools, Taco bell, and most of the bolts were 10-12-14-16 and 17 mm. Here are the pics.

The S2000 on the lift

Exhaust Manifold and Accessory Belt

In this picture you can see how ******* crowded this engine bay is.

The bolts of all bolts, this ************ kicked our ass.

The Tranny on the shelf, with my car in the backdrop.

Fuel line was still connected, Travis forgot to mention that

Almost out

Got that ****** out!

Wow, I hate modern cars! Look at that! After you pull the motor theres still 1000 miles wiring left in the engine compartment!

Most AP1's come with poor banjo bolts. They just do it, thats why the newer AP2's only have like 8300 rev limiter. He was in lift when it went though, he felt a jerk and she started knocking lol.

I guess that is a first for the Honda guys! The Chevy is still running while the Honda is broke! It's all in good fun, I still like clean and fast Honda's.

I hate working on Honda's. So far I've swaped a H22, and a B18, both took longer than they should have, guess I didn't slant my eye far enough.

I love cars but I'm pretty sure I'd hate every second of pulling a motor
