Fuel Economy

What kind of milage are you folks getting on your SS/SC?
My Canadian car displays everything in metric and it pisses-me off. I've preformed the conversions, but it still seems high to me. The stage 2 upgrade did little to the indicated Litres/100km's despite resetting.
Don't even ask about my boost levels...........what the F&%K are Kilopascals anyway?

at 80mph i get 31mpg

Its kinda funny, the LSJ engines are getting way better fuel economy than they are rated while the LNF Turbo engines are struggling to even come close.

I believe the max speed in the EPA test cycles are still ~52mph.. so if were getting better than rated at a much higher speed.. i definately am impressed with this LSJ engine

Read it cover to cover 3-4 times. As a matter of fact, I think it's still in the ******* somewhere............nothing (that I can find) indicated as to how you change the computer from metric to imperial measurement. Perhaps the 07'manual is different.

Thanks. That sounds pretty good to me. Even with the calculations, I'm not getting more than 18-21 mpg.
It's a new car, and down the road I'm sure it'll improve. I'm a bit heavy on the pedal at this point as well.

Entering Personalization Menu
  • Turn the ignition on while the vehicle is stopped.
  • To avoid excessive drain on the battery, it is recommended that the headlamps are turned off.
  • Press and hold the information and reset buttons at the same time for one second, then release to enter the personalization menu.
  • If the vehicle speed is greater than 2 mph (3 km/h), only the UNITS menu will be accessible.
  • Press the information button to scroll through the available personalization menu modes.
  • Press the reset button to scroll through the available settings for each mode.
  • If you do not make a selection within ten seconds, the display will go back to the previous information displayed.
UNITS
  • This feature allows you to select the units of measurement in which the DIC will display the vehicle information. When UNITS appears on the display, press and hold the reset button for at least one second to scroll through the available settings:
  • ENGLISH (default in United States): All information will be displayed in English units.
  • METRIC (default in Canada): All information will be displayed in metric units.

  • Choose one of the available settings and press the information button to select it and move on to the next feature.

I think I get average about 24-26mpg but I am doing allot of driving in town lately. I started using a site that allows you keep track of all of that and it gives you a little graff aswell. The site is: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/ More people should use this, I think there are only two of us SS/SC owners singed up.
