Does anybody know where we can get our hands on the set of 4 clear (silverish) tail lights? I've seen them on the SS/SC sedan concept car as well as someone's cardomain (can't remember who). Now THAT would be the shiz. I'm hoping there is a way to get a full LED clear tail light setup.

If you DO talk to them about the hideous lights again - make sure they make them LED haha.

Oh, makes sense now. Yeah, I've always thought that LEDs behind the red plastic (the one's available now) kinda doesn't do it for me like LEDs that you can see through the clear plastic. It's cause if the LEDs are made correctly (IE with the right gas and not using dyed casing) then they look clear when off and red/orange/white when on. That's kinda the effect I think looks sweet.

Now that those aftermarket LED tail lights are out , and the outer lens is exactly the same as stock ...theres at least the ability for the aftermarket to do it . All it would take is them telling there suppliers to run a batch of lenses in clear instead of red dyed polycarbonate .

I absolutely love the SS Supercharged Sedan idea from GM... why don't they make that car?

It'd be some good (and cheaper) competition for the WRX and Evo... and would really fit in better as competing with the SRT-4 (new and old) and the MazdaSpeed3. Didn't the SS/SC get knocked for not having enough room to really compete with the other cars in the class?

I'm still waiting for someone with a SS Sedan to do a full SS/SC body kit swap.

The LED's would have to be red... to comply with federal traffic laws.

 

ok guys take a close look at that car, it is a concept of a supercharged cobalt ss sedan, I have personally seen the engine bay there is a eaton m62 in there. I tell you if they ever were to make supercharged ss sedans I would jump at one, the rims you can get off of gm tuner source in the accessories.

 

I like those clear lights. I fell in love with them when i saw the cobalt 272. BEAUTIFUL!

 

Well, I guess to each his own. For example my wife thinks the projectors are hideous......And there are others who swear they are the shiz.......that's the good thing about owning your own car I guess - make it look like YOU want it to.

Anywho, I'd be willing to post install pics and a how to etc if someone would hook me up with a test set, hint hint hahaha.

Yeah, but I hope that whomever makes this will use the "clear when off/red when on" LEDs, and not the cheap red dyed LEDs.
