Interest Thread for Cobalt-Addiction Rear Drag Bars

I am going to the shop friday to discuss plans on these. Looking to see what kind of interest I can generate for them.
They would be Adjustable bars to replace the stock rear shocks on the car, This would help keep weight transfer off the front wheels minimal. Adjustable to raise and lower the height of the rear to get that perfect balance on the car.
Questions, Comments, Feedback is appreciated..
and please no "I can make em myself", or any other bullshit posts... this is for interest in a product only.

Thank you.

no-one?

It would be ideal if you could build strut bars that would telescope or something and could be locked and unlocked quickly. The idea is that you could leave them on your car and not have them interfere with your normal suspension for daily driving. Then, come track day (or that serious street race) you could just squat down and lock them into place, preventing weight transfer.

Ok. I got it. Normally they are empty hydraulic cylinders, but you just flick a switch and a small pump fills them up to the desired level of fluid. Done racing? Just pop a nitrous type solenoid and the fluid drains back to the resevoir, like a mini hydraulic jack. That might be too expensive though.

I'd buy one if the price is right, it isn't too heavy, and it is easy to lock and unlock!

Yeah thats a but more pricey than I want... but since its about 4 bolts to remove both shocks (18mm) its quite easy and even the noobiest of noobs should be able to do it in about 10-15 minutes with hand tools

This is true, but in order to avoid the "I'll make it myself" posts, it's got to be trick and innovative. Anyone can cut and drill an aluminum bar. I've done it many times for motorcycle struts.

Now if it was ultra trick in some way - like made from Titanium. Or what if had rubber shock absorbing inserts in both ends, with some type of turnbuckle adjustment in the center. Then you'd have something people would say to themselves: "Self, that's to difficult or complex to make, I'll just buy it."

Or you could just buy adjustable struts and lock them out with a turn of a *** and losen back up with the turn of a nobe not to mention all the adjustments inbetween to increse handling. Just my 2 cents.
