The stock tires suck and will go out faster than most "Aftermarket" tires.

How many miles are on your balt? That might help

Take it to the dealer and see if they'll warranty them for premature wear. I Forget how long out tire warranty is.

As far as wheel hop you really shouldn't be getting any, and if you are you need to stop because you'll crack your tranny and they won't warranty that at all

If any transmission is cracked GM will not warranty it due to wheel hop. A lot of SS/SC's have this problem

They do it because wheel hop is caused by excuse according to GM, But I dont blame them, at 3K a tranny think of all the money they would loose

you know wats the funny part that a couple days i realized that my tires didn't have so i went and put air into my tires and then i took it for a test drive and realized that the wheel hop stopped thats why i asked if it was probably the tires because it was a factor that i took into consideration;.

go to www.tirerack.com for the best prices on tires. They are very reputable and you can even have the tires shipped to your local tire shop.
