Exhaust on Auto
Exhaust on Auto
I just got a 2.4ss and one of the first things i want to do is the cat back exhaust. its a auto and i was wonderin if anyone has vids or sound clips of a exhaust on a auto. idelin n drivin. im lookin at the GM performance exhaust. but i dont want it to sound ricey.
Nope. Just think about what your transmission does...it transfers power from the engine to the drive wheels. Your exhaust system is wastes carried from the combustion chamber during the exhaust stroke. Your exhaust output or engine output isn't being effected by the transmission (directly).
You're referring to the consistency of sound. A driver with a manual can determine how long he can press on the clutch and have no sound from the engine or putting any engine load.
But overall sound...no...there isn't a difference engine to engine.

I Just Put A Gm Performance Cat Back On My 2.4 Saturday Not As Loud As I Thought It Was Gonna Be But It Sounds Cool Can't Really Even Hear It Unless Your Over 3000 Rpm's. You Can Feel The Little Kick In The Ass Though When You Get On It. Hope This Helps.
oh yeah and the only difference in sound btwn the two (manual/ auto) is the engine braking... god I love the popping noises my car makes on decel....
and damnit sean learn how to drive stick and trade that bitch back in for a manual.
