I just put in my tag stage 3. I started her up and it was running really rough. IDK why. A CEL came on. Im hoping it was because I am still on stock plugs. Im going to pick up some NGK's right now(in my other car). THe Idle got better after about a minute. I really hope this didn't screw up my car.

ANyone else have anything like this happen??

 

I was unaware that tag made a stage three availbile yet. I thoguht their third stage was goigng to be a smaller pulley, exhaust, and driveline upgrades.....

 

the tune might have still been learning. is every thing put on right?

 

can i get a link to this stage 3? If they actually make it now I would like to see it. TRheir kits are bad ass

 

Is it a blinking CEL or Solid? if its soild it might be a Too Rich. I put in the Tag GM Stage 3 and that is what mine is doing Jim looked at my logs and thinks it might be the MAF or the MAP call Jim or shoot him and email.

 

So what did you do to correct the problem??

 

Not fixed yet have to try and clean change my MAF.

 

Its the Tag GM stage 3. No its not blinking. Im gonna put int the new plugs and undo the battery hopefully it wont come back.

 

go to autozone or get and OBDII reader and find out what the code is. its an emissons code. I am getting to Too Rich CEL right now but Jim took a look at my logs and thinks ir might be the MAF or the MAP sensor

 

i dont understand what you mean by tag gm stage 3 is it gm stage 3 or is it tag stage 3

 

Tag made an update with those people with stage 2 they made 60 lbs injectors , and a 2.79 pulley that fits the GM stage 2 hub

Well, It's crankhaft position sensor that clicked the light. Maybe I pulled out the plug by accident?

IDK, Im gonna erase it and see if it comes back.

no you have to go to the dealer and get the case learn done. i just went through this last week. DO NOT BOOST THE CAR UNTIL YOU GET THIS DONE!!!!

 

a crank relearn needs to be done. on alot of gm's vehicle after any kind of a reflash is done the crankshaft position sensor needs to be relearned. (sometimes it needs to be done after just unplugging the sensor or pcm.)

where are you in mass? i live in chelmsford mass. and work in arlington mass. i could swing by and do a relearn sometime tommorow after 5pm if you want. pm and let me know.

Well, looks like i read this too late. I just got back from beating on it. I didn't stay out of boost lol. It got a bit buzzy after bounced off the rev limit. I think the relaern may fix it. WHere do I go to get it. Can any scan tool do it? I don't want to go to chevy.

 

Well I took car of it. They charged me for an hour at the chevy dealer. They didnt void my warrentee thanks to the look-a-like pully (thanks Jim!). They thought I just had stage 2!!

If anyone is wondering what its like. Well remeber when you got stage 2? Imagine that all over again!! Its great!! It's like another stage 2 haha. Lots of boost, I'm up near 18.
I should be getting my cutout in this week, THat should give me a nice kick too!!!
