I should have cobaltss.net as my homepage. It's the first site I visit after I check my e-mail and I'm constantly reading new posts. What a Cobalt nerd I am.

I DON'T and for a good reason too! As an IT professional I know what bandwidth costs and www.cobaltss.net requires too much of it just for opening a browser. Plus it creates inaccurate hit records for the administrators (every time a website is viewed, its counted, stored, and called a 'hit').
Example: "JonelZ: Wow! My site got 40,000 hits this month!"
That kind of thing makes it really hard to determine if upgrades to the server will or already are necessary.
The most efficient homepage is one that requires little to no bandwidth and one that is hosted on a very very very large server. It's easier on the client and server this way.
Of course if CobaltSS.net is the only reason you come online, by all means have it as your homepage. But if you’re an internet enthusiast that is online most of your day to research, play flash games, watch videos, browse torrent sites, and browse other car forums – something like Google or Yahoo! is best with a bookmark to CobaltSS.net.
