Best Exhaust?

What exhaust do you think would sound the most like say a mustang or firebird if the company made one for the Cobalt SS/SC? If you chose other please state which one.

to be honest. can't really judge it

You want sleeper sound idling but sound good and sing at high rpms? - Mangaflow

You want it to be freaking loud and insane - Dynomax

You like a can of wasps humming all the time except when you really get on it? -flowmaster

Want no sound? - Walker quiet cat backs

Like to hear a chrip of exhaust here and there and be semi loud but sound decent? - borla

Can't really judge too many exhaust systems because no one has had every invididual exhaust system installed on these cars yet.

I like my magnaflow. I think it yields the best results. this goes by experience. Magnaflow would be a better overall choice.

how big is our stock piping? 2.5? if thats the case, just chop off the muffler put a straight thru muffler and weld on the stock tip...stock looking and better performance.

I think it's too early to judge right now I think, but doesn't RKsport have an exhaust as well?

Has anbody seen or heard of any results from it?

I'm holding out for Corsa's cat back system. Talked to the director of engineering a couple of weeks back, a test car was allocated from GM and they will start work in it shortly.

Thats what i did i justed changed out the muffler and kept the stock tip. It was a little bit more free flowing so it sounds just like the stock exhaust just louder. It sounds soooo good. It also gave me a little more hp. I did have an exhaust leek show up after a couple of weeks, so be sure to check for that.

4 cyl exhaust notes suck unless they're muffled by a turbo.

Other than that... people who think that exhaust tips that equal the circumfrence of their own head will help performance/sound should roll over and die. A Borla muff on 2.5" piping w/ a resonator would be as far as I'd go for a mildly boosted application.
