I drive a Red one with the lower grill insert that are on the non-SC I have tinted windows and i live in Santa Fe.

And yes it is a SS S/C I took off all the supercharger badges and the front SS badges but left the Cobalt SS on the back.

Thanks compliment, the next thing I am looking at is getting my windows tinted, do you have problems with the hard water leaving spots and stains on the window, after it is washed. If it was a dirty one you saw that woulld have been mine, dealership carwash was broken, the day I picked mine up. It had been sitting out here about 2 weeks before I picked it up.

No I don't have too much problem with hard water here. The one thing about getting your windows tinted is that the top of the rear window doesn't make it easy, and it doesn't stick there very well. Hey theres a autocross event at sadia raceway next weekend i'm definitly going to go, i've been going to the last few here in Sante Fe but that one should be awsome. Its $25 to enter and you might get 5 or 6 runs on the track, its a very nice track. You should check it out.

I think J.D. has one. I you high altitude guys wanna do a mod get the 3" pulley.... It is well worth the money, Here in Santa Fe I found i was getting 6.5 PSI. I install the 3" pulley last night and i love it. I get 10 now and it has alot more power compared to before.

I get about 7psi under normal driving, if pushed hard can maybe pull 10, rest of the time it is just 5. Of course with the temp dropping it gets up a litlle more. Thanks for the info

The stock boost gauge was off on mine, it showed i was getting ten. After i put a interceptor one on it showed i was only getting 6.5 in Santa Fe and 8 in ALB., But i've decided to put a 2.85 on now so i should get the full 12.5 when thats installed.

I got the Interceptor OBDII one that reads from the same place a code reader would. It tells you alot of good stuff like the air temp after the inter cooler and before, actual PSI and several others.

we will see if i can make it in my car sunday. i had to take it to the dealership yesterday because the f*cking computer was freaking out again. this started happening a while back, my power steering would go out and the speedo would drop to 0. this would the go back to normal then a few seconds later would f*ck up again. took it in a few months ago on a friday but they told me to come back monday and by then it was fine. since then it has done it a few more times, finally it happened and i was able to get it to the dealer with the check engine light still on. well the have had it since 7am yesterday and have no idea whats wrong with it. so i have a silverado as a rental until i get it back. hopefully they will have it done by sat. so i can meet you guys in the cobalt if not i will meet you guys in the rental.

I need someone to make a tripple a-pilar so i can put some guages i need in there. I want a A/F ratio guage abd something else. So far running great. Got about another 1.5 PSI out of her. Temp can get a little hotter a little faster. Pulls and reacts alot better. Most i got was about 12 psi so almost at the right amount. Just need some water injection. Rims shgould be here today. Header next week, at least i hope it will. Yeah saturday would be fun. i think its 11:30 at il vicino on montgomery, i'll double check to tell you guys.

The flywheel isn't released until Jan 7 I found out, and since I ordered both from the same place they're shipping them together (which is fine since I'd have to wait on the flywheel for the install anyway). Should get my intake this week though, and my Hurst is supposed to ship on the 21st, so I might get that this week or early next week also. The torque braces won't ship til the beginning of Jan- he got so many orders it backlogged him lol.

I know the guy that owns AIX, he's really cool and they sponsor my car club, so if you want to get your work done there I would get some promotion points for the team. If you're willing to hold off til I get the f/c we'll go down together, or anytime you're ready I can just roll down there with you and introduce you to Sam.

No and No. The clutch is supposed to be here Thursday- but the flywheel won't get in til mid Jan, so that's useless. Intake should be here Jan 1. exhaust hasn't even shipped yet, and I'm starting to get a little pissed about that. Shifter isn't released yet. No word on brakes or pads (gonna have those professionally installed anyway). So pretty much I've got nothin. Hope to get the clutch installed with the new tranny, but I won't even find out if they can do it until Thurs. So that's my sob story.

Ordered the exhaust from PFYC.com. I talked to them and they said that it is drop-shipping from the factory which is why it is not showing up as shipped on their website. They said they would contact Corsa and see about tracking info, but they said drop-shipments don;t normally have tracking info, so just be patient.

Slotted brakes are IN!!!! Now I just need the car......:(

Got mine from turbo tech racing. They said its also being shipped directly from the factory and it will go out next week.

Clutch has arrived! Any of you guys have experience with installing clutches? I'm cancelling the flywheel- think it'd be too hard to drive in traffic. I mean, I'm pretty handy with a wrench (at least I like to pretend I am) and I'm sure I can figure it out, but if one of you guys know what you're doing that would be awesome.

I installed the clutch on my truck, it was a piece of cake but i don't think the hard part is getting it on, its getting the tranny out of the way to install it.

Yeah, that's what I was thinkin too. I don't want a shop to do it- they'll charge an arm and a leg, and they might do it wrong. maybe if we get a few of us together it won't be too bad getting the tranny out.

Just looked at the removal procedure..... Looks like a bitch with out a lift. A lot of work involved to get that done

Oh shizznit! I just remembered, you have to drop the k-frame to get the tranny out don't you.

Yeah you do have to drop the frame. I have the service manual and it has all the info in it.

damn- looks like I'm gonna have to keep looking for a shop that'll do it then.

Well for those of you that haven't been keeping up with the thread in Drivetrain about mine and 06black's tranny problems- here's an update...........

rumour has it there is a manufacturing problem between GM and the company that makes the shift cable (which is the only part they are waiting for to finish my car), and long story short- the supply isn't there and won't be until about mid-February.

I am one seriously BENT hushpuppy.

The Cobalt LT with the grounds effect kit was marked down with the redtag sale price just below $16K and the exhuast tips The on the left is connected to the actual exhaust piping, while the one on the right is just screwed into the kit

I can't get rid of the pulley tensioner but i will have an extra 3" and 2.85" pulley that can go. I can also let you borrow the puller tool since that would make it a ton easier. I just did a quick total of the cost of all the parts on my car, these things suck money so fast, its nuts.

Got my pulley kit today, man do they look sweet, they did a great job on the design.

Hopefully my car will be put back together in time for tomorrows meet. I'm having problems with my pulley kit, it's not going on like it should.

darn you guys that could not make it you missed out. his car is the shit :twothumbs i knew it was going to beat me but man not as bad as he did. 45 roll to 130ish i think he put at least 3-4 cars on me. :bye: what he has i will take one of each please :lol: hooters was fun as hell too had a bunch of my friends show up and we were loud as hell. only had the rx8 in the pic above, a lightning and our two cobalts make it as far as cars go. blab caught a ride in the rx8 but over all a great meet. rsw is having a meet on the 22nd at noon sonic on san mateo. so this should be good and plan on being there

DVS can you bring a video camera with you next sunday so we can get some clips of the corsa exhaust? I'm going to try to make it then, sounds like fun, i didn't see and thing on the RSW site that said anything about a meet.

I should be able to make next Sunday- and I'll have the Corsa and teh JBP intake installed.

hey who want to dyno their cars i think i can get us a discount if we have a few people dyno their cars. i know you want to CP to check your a/f ratio. if i can find a pulley tensioner to fit that 2.8 on my car i will get it dynoed too. if you want to dyno by yourself CP it will only be $75 but if more than one does it we can cut it down to $60 each. that is at Speed Dreams which i would trust a little more because they recalibrate it more often. i got my car dynoed their the first time too. let me know who wants in on this.

ps. if anyone can help me find a tensioner that would be great

There would be no point in dynoing at SD though since every dyno is different. We wouldn't know what kind of HP we picked up from the last dyno day. I would rather dyno at the dyno edge.

i will let you know as soon as i hear back from them on how much it is. now the question of the day is do i buy this tensioner or just wait for the new belt to come out with the stage kit. i am leaning toward waiting.

Get a tensioner, it would be a bitch to change the belt and get a new one on itf you ever want to chang pulleys again
