Latest Mod from Calm.....
I guess.... To me and a friend of mine, JDM is a clean, simple, better than stock way of moding your car. Better than "rice." BTW > The term "Rice" came from the way ppl in the states mod imports.
Nice mods, and nice grill. I like the cobaltss.net decal there as well.
I dunno though, i don't really like the hyepr yellows. I'd much rather go with white or HID or something. But. nice mods! Keep modding!

Good and bad. On back roads with nobody on the road and no street lights they're better than stock ten-fold. Also when your behind someone and it's wet out, the yellow cuts through the back wash. It's awsome. However, they're easilly wased out by other head lights and street lights.
Japanese Domestic Market.
Little things are different between here (US/Canada/Mexico/rest of world) and there (Japan) mostly due to road laws and/or emissions standards. Sometimes it feels like the automakers just do it so that each market gets to have something unique.
Anyway, its popular to take parts from the cars original market and put them on yours in order to be different or more authentic.
As far as a Cobalt being JDM, it just means that it is made to look as if it were complying with Japanese standards and/or popular trends from Japan. It is usually frowned upon when an American car that has no foreign counterpart gets the JDM treatment.
BTW I like the yellow lights. Looks pretty hot, especially on that SOM balt!

Thats a pretty good explanation. A simpler one would be that JDM is a way of describing a Siplified approch to Asthetic Modifications. Asthetic Mods that flow with the OEM Body lines. By making the apperance not stock but what the Auto Maker should have done.
