Tinted Coupe Taillights

So I spray tinted the tails and sidemarkers on my LS... it looks great for the most part. I'll be re doing it at some point when i have more time b/c the directions said streaks will disappear, but the didnt. I'll throw some day and night pics up tonight/tomorrow so you guys can see what it looks like. Aside from the stock rims, my black LS is pretty much blacked out now... just waiting to get that DARE license plate, haha.

You'll also have to check federal DOT regulations for light output and have them tested, the DOT regs supercede state law. The only exception is if the state law is more restrictive (i.e. the lights are required to have a higher light output than the DOT regs).

An accident waiting to happen...picture this, a person driving on your street half stoned slams the back of your car while it's parked in front of your home because there were wasn't a reflection of the driver's headlights on your "supposed" back light reflectors. Sorry bro, but safety first IMO.

Ok first if you knew anything about niteshades, you would know that light obviously shines through the taillights so the tails light up. This also means light can shine in illuminating the reflector....

And also, why does the person have to be half stoned? thats like saying people on drugs are the only people who crash into cars?

maybe your license plates are made of something different, but usually when headlights shine on a license plate, it throws a big reflection....and anyone half stoned has no business behind the wheel anyway. Personally I don't care what anyone says, if you get in an accident b/c your stoned, you deserve what happens to you.

Nice job on the taillights...looks awesome. Much like mine.

So yeah, im thinking about trying to paint my sides and tails. Problem is i dont know if i need to paint the outside or the inside. I took off my sides and the inside isnt gonna be easy to get at. If i paint the outside it will more than likely chip and fade. If i paint the inside it will still be more red than i want. are ppl just putting hella clear coat on?
