HELP me spend money!

SO I am going to have over 2000 to spend when I get back on my 2.2. I am looking for strictly horsepower. I am looking for brands and good locations to purchase. I really don't have too much internet speed while I am out here in the Middle East. So I am asking for your help guys. Thank you guys.

2000 just on a turbo. I think I am going to have to do this myself since I haven't received any suggestions.

2000$ wont get you a turbo setup and the supporting mods. the turbo setup alone will cost over 3k by itself. plus you will need to do some trans work so it doesnt get destroyed.

yup.

So with 2K you can go for intake, exhaust, header, downpipe, pistons if you like (won't necessarily raise HP unless you mess with compression ratios) maybe a port and polish to the head.

First, get your ass back safe to Washington. Then an intake, exhaust, pretty much what rally said.

Spend the money buy putting it in your bank and adding on to it so you can purchase an ss down the road. Putting money into the 2.2 is a waste.

This IS my LIst so maybe you'll like it

Injen CAI
Header ( I'm going with DC Sports I think)
DownPipe
Lowering Springs Rear Sway

I know you said strictly HP but man those springs and Sway bar made one hell of a difference,
Currently I have purchased all my parts from TurboTEchRacing, may not be the cheapest but never had a problem and Customer service is great

Wow, it didn't take long for some fool to come out and open his big ignorant mouth in this thread. Please quit speaking, you make the rest of us SS owners look bad.

I'm not up on the 2.2 much so I can't really help you out, but I'd either save up for some FI (2k is a good start) or go with the traditional bolt ons like intake, exhaust, header, and so on.

Those are all great inputs except for the idiot one. Nitrous sounds great. I already lowered it on 18s and have sway bars. I was just thinking Exhaust, Intake, Headers, and such for bolt ons. I know the cheapest hp comes from nitrous. But I will start with the bolt ons. GMPP? for parts. I can do all the work myself. Then again I can spend 3000. I am not getting any time off out here to spend money. Cams sound like an awesome idea also. I need to do some searching on tuning. Have we figured that out yet?

How much horsepower? Guess? This is us right now in theater.

Airbox mod, full exhaust, 75 wet shot of nitrous. There goes your $2k. You also get over 200hp. No tuning required.

I have to agree with you
That is pretty rude for sure
A 2.2 is a good motor and like you said a Balt is a Balt

Just return safely and thank for supporting the USA

now that one was highly uncalled for.

I will not get into it, simply because I will choose not to get in trouble on the site for calling you some choice names.

........and he's getting paid hazard pay to do it.......... Don't get me wrong, I support our troops and have several friends in the armed services, but it is a job. If that was my thing, I would go do it too, but I have other career aspirations. So give it respect, but that doesn't give someone instant king status, so we should all be able to express our opinions without the "He's in the military, you can't say anything against him" mentality coming out and slapping us in the face. Nobody disrespected the fact that he is in the military, so I don't see why your comment was necessary at all.
