Got the car Saturday....installed the intake just Monday

Like it said, just got the AEM CAI installed and I love the sound of the supercharger. It's really noticable in 2nd, 3rd (havent gone too fast in 4th and 5th) but I also notice a LITTLE more pep in it (not too much, but hey, all I was really looking for is sound anyway).

As for the installation, follow the one in the How To section and you should be ok, but I did it on my own with a friend and it was pretty simple. Way harder than it should have to be on our cars, but hey, its worth the sounds and an intake is a nice supporting mod.

AEM ftw!!!!onetwo

I really would have waited till the "break in" period is over before I did any mods. Just incase anything is wrong from the factory... you know it's not mod related. Agreed that an intake is the simplest thing you can do... but still.

Yeah, actually I was going to wait on the break-in as well until I spoke to the service manager this afternoon when finalizing the finances, and asked him what he thought and he said intake and cat-back wouldn't hurt anything warranty-wise.

Why would my car be damaged by increased airflow through a superior filter. As long as I break it in just as I would have, its just a difference in flow. AEM should have no filtration problems as long as Im not driving around in ponds, lakes, or pools. No CEL, everything running nicely.

But as for doing it yourself, I would check with YOUR dealership first because I hear that GM likes to shaft people for those kinda things. Point A for Dealership A may not hold up at all for Dealership B.

i put an AEM filter on the end of my ebay intake and I put maybe 25 miles on it and a CEL came on when i was stoped at an intersection for like 10 minutes. Tomorrow im going to disconnect the batter for 10 minutes sence i forgot to do that today.
