BUMP...... good price here.

this engine is listed on ebay with a buy it now or best offer. the best offer is pretty much me giving this engine away. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...4744613&rd=1,1

You can still buy it Bio, it will work as an L61. You can get an L61 core for cheaper, but there are advantages to using the LSJ block as your core.

thanks halfcent i was just going to say that. halfcent correct me if im wrong but the lsj block and cylinderhead are a bit more rigid and they handle boost better then the L61 blocks.

No. The LSJ has the following differences (from the bottom up):

The oil pan is larger. It holds more oil, and more surface area for better cooling.
The block has the piston oilers installed.
The oil filter housing has the oil cooler provisions.
The head is sand cast instead of lost-foam. Makes for better heat related qualities. More even expansion, smoother ports.
The head has a cam position mounting provision. It can be capped off for use with an L61 application, or can have a position sensor installed and used with an aftermarket standalone ECM.

of course it runs its only got 15K miles on it and sorry even for the first price of 1,100 i had it up for was a steal. I don NOT put OBO up there. I will NOT take anyless the 900 plus PP fees which are about 30 bucks. GUYS BE ADVISED I DONT NEED TO GET RID OF THIS ENGINE IM SELLING IT BECAUSE I HAVE A FULLY BUILT 2.4 AND THE 2.0 WILL JUST SIT IN MY GARAGE AND COLLECT DUST. its not worth getting rid of it if everyone is going to come on here and low ball me. Eventhough i'm selling this thing without charging shipping shipping still isnt free for me. its going to cost anywhere between 150 and 250 bucks to ship this engine. so lets say the engine sells on the low side for 900 bucks and i ship it to NY its going to cost me everybit of 250 bucks maby even a bit more. that leaves me with 700 bucks. the price is fair and thats that. I hope you guys realize that if you were to buy a LSJ crate engine direct from GM it would be about 4900 bucks. (AND YES I KNOW YOU CAN GET IT FROM THE CRATEENGINE DEOPT FOR JUST OVER 3k) I know this engine isnt complete with the supercharger and intake manifold ect. However the price i have it listed here reflects all of that. Please dont mistake me for being a dick because im not. I'm just sick of giving someone an inch and them taking a mile. I also understand that alot of you guys are younger then me and that alot of you are in college and dont have alot of money. hence the reason im not putting this up here for 2K which ive sold 3 other LSJ longblocks just like this with almost the same exact mileage for. the thing is though if you want to play you have to pay.

your going to need the the obvious stuff like. the intake manifold and blower and the pullys and stuff. please see pics above. the reason you need all that stuff is because i put all that stuff on my new engine. I know where to find it all too if your interested in that. or when your ready to put it in your car you can just pull your blower and intake and pullys and put it on that motor. thats what id recommend doing. other then that its ready to rock. Ps sorry if i sounded like a dick im just going crazy one guy tried to get me to sell it to him for 450 bucks shipped.

sounds good that sucks that you got a hole in your piston. if you would like to buy this for 900 my paypal address is mvp8839@yahoo.com and I just require that you add the 3% paypal fees which is like 40 bucks.

It will work for ya and you will be happy with it this engine is very strong. may i make a suggestin for you though. this time invest in a wideband so you dont put a hole in another piston.

thats still expensive don't mean to bash on MVP but their was this guys couples weeks ago sleeping the LSJ engine with supercharger and everything the car got into a accident and messed up the whole rear part of the car and was selling the engine for about $700 shipped and everything has only about 6,000 miles and it has a 30 gurantee.

^thats fine and all...but (here is my 2˘)
...are there any of those engines available right now?

no.

supply and demand. This engine has NOT been in an accident, and has a brand new head on it. besides. a BRAND new LSJ w/ all the components...is still well over $4K...(and that DOES NOT include the almost $200 in shipping fees)

people think that just because its listed on a forum that its a garage sale, and they can lowball people outrageously...and its not the case. Not everyone HAS to sell the item they list here. when someone comes along that realizes how good of a deal this is, im sure MVP will gladly sell the engine to them.

besides, just wait until one person on here holes a piston, then gets the price quote from the dealer...$6K is alot to pay the dealer for an engine, when you can get one for $900...
