F35 Tranny onto my 2.2
F35 Tranny onto my 2.2
Hey guys, i've found a F35 SS tranny with 1500 miles on it, goin for $750. i really want to buy it so i can get the better gears and strength. I am also looking into doing the Cryo-treatment on it. My power goal is 350+whp/tq. Do you think the F35 will hold up with a stg3 clutch master? Also, i want to make sure im not missing anything. For example, will i run into problems with my 4lugs with the SS axles? Little things like that im tryin to get settled before i spend the money on the tranny. I will also need to purchase the Shift assembly inside, cuz i doubt my current shifter will work on the SS tranny. Would be nice tho, not having that reverse lock... Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
fgp35 is def not the way to go man, not really rated that much higher than what you got already, if I were you I'd use that money to get some upgrades dont to your tranny instead....and for axles... well you need to check the spline count on the hub, plus a few little other things...
first off... do NOT go w/ a clutchmaster clutch... nothing but problems for the redlines.
second, here's what a Saturn Tech over on RLF has told me about swapping 'em (i'm looking at it too
)
so it's definitely not a "direct drop in" so-to-speak

Don't do it
. It will be a total failure and even then the bell housing doesn't matchFood for thought
