Can HP Tuner disable traction control on a 2.4? i am not interested in tuning at this point, but I would LOVE to turn off the TC!

I disabled it on my sc so I am sure it will work on the 2.4 also.

Which? Torque control or traction control? Torque control will cut fuel when a certain torque limit is reached. Traction control is a bit more complex.

There are a couple ways tc works on the sc one limits boost one retards timing one opens the electronic throttle at a different rate. How does the tc work on the 2.4's do you think if you unplugged one of the abs sensors it would disable it.I know the abs light woould come on but it would problbly disable the tc.Is your car an auto?

Okay, again, read the link I gave above, and be clear if you talking about Traction Control or Torque Control. What exactly did you "do" to disable your "TC", whatever that is.

manual cobalts don't have TC... because the way that it works is that the electronic throttle will close to limit power in the event of wheelspin.

on a manual car, that could be dangerous as the car could stall... so, none of the manual balts have it.

now... the SCs do limit boost in first gear... and i guess you could disable that, but most guys on here seem like they would rather have less boost.

o b/c talking to DOC he said he accidentally left my TC on. So im guessing this could rob power.

well, i'm guessing that it's totally software, so maybe it could be turned on, on the manual cars.

i mean, all it does is look for the ABS sensors to freak out, AFAIK
