ss/sc vs lightening

23,000 miles and still on the stock clutch but I can feel that it doesnt grab as good as it used too and the passanger in the lightening said my supercharger was screaming

there lightning not lightening

but my brother has a l and that thing is quick he is on his 3rd motor though he keeps blowing them. but his first motor with just a pully and intake and exhaust he was running 12s but now he is stock and i walk him.

I have always wanted to get my hands on an old school L , you know like the N/A ones and spray the living crap outta it . they are nice trucks. Props for posting that vid by the way !

i have a guy next door that has a pretty sick lightning. i can see that he has a gauge similar to the aeroforce one in there and it is loud as all hell!!! im sure the thing is fast and i really wanna race him.

For the record a stock Ford Lightning runs a 13.5- 13.8 quater mile

so not bad at all... for the SC'd Cobalt!

rwd> fwd when launching I bet most people w/ ss/sc cant get a 60' under 2.5 sec.

Dude where do you get your info from? A stock lightning on a good day will only run a 14.3.

Wow I guess "most people" dont know how to drive. I have a TOTALLY stock ss/sc and my 60' times with street tires i get 2.2s all day long. Its second gear that lags on these cars.


umm a few of my friends have SVT L's


they one has ran a 13.6 stock... the other 13.5 stock.

where do YOU get your info from....

If they are running those times, they are definately NOT stock, trust someone from a real racing community. Something is done to those trucks, be it tuning, or slicks, soemthing. Because there is no way a lightning can keep up with an ls1 camaro. And mid 13's is what they are running.

I've seen bone stock L's at HRP pull mid 13's with good DA all night long. Heck I remember when I saw my first 2nd gen back in 99' with Planet Ford dealer plates roll up at HRP and click off a 13.8 @ 99 mph. Maybe it's just your track.
