anyone want these things??????? I have no use for them. if your Serious about performance and want to rev high and have that extra insurance that your crank will have a less chance of crank walk walk then you need to invest in these. for those who dont know these do the same thing as putting head studs in? increased clamping force.

BUMP Hey guys these New ARP main studs are still forsale. Ive got a few PM's with people inquiring about these thinking they're "CYLINDER HEAD" Studs. These are "MAIN" studs. the term main refers to the crankshaft or main gurdle. These do the same thing that a cylinder head stud would for a cylinder head but they do it for the crankshaft. the allow a more accurate torque and secure clamping force then a conventional bolt would. This is especially important in a high reving or high boosting racing application where the chance of crank walk is greater. or in a cylinderhead stud case a chance ofhigh boost causing the cylinder head to actually move off the deck of the block causing an inproper seal and usually resulting in blown head gasket. any more questions feel free to ask.

HTH

Mike

You may need to simply sit on them for a while. Don't worry, they'll sell. But not everyone is building an engine right now. Just stick them in a drawer somewhere for now.

Free bump anyway.

yeah platinum Visa.... and my credit used to be rediculous. until that credit card.. lol

I was very tempted to do that, and after running up 5 g's on parts for my balt in the first month I had it. I paid it off, cancelled it, and now do cash only.
