I cut the back ones in half. I completely forgot about the front set until i had completely finished the car so those will have to be cut someday when i have time to take it all apart again. If you dont cut them only thing that will happen is you will bottom out VERY easily. Believe me anything larger than a road titty will make my front bottom out, but the back requires quite a large bump to make it completely bottom out.

The instruction with my Eibach Pro-kits specifically says to NOT cut the stops. You should have instructions in your sportlines as well. They may tell you how much exactly to cut.

And yes, there are stops in the front as well. They are on the strut under the dirt cover.

My shop told me not to cut them. I installed Sportlines. Haven't bottomed out once and have had them on since last spring.

i don't get it..i thought the bumpstops keep the strut from bottoming out...do you mean you just feel the bumpstop hitting more often?

You pretty much got it. And it's doesn't bump that much more often at all actually. A good spring design doesn't allow it to happen unless you have driven over a crater.

The instructions tell you exactly how much to cut off. I only did the rear cause I don't feel like smackng the front frame on anything. I'd rather the bump stops do their job then let the frame take a beating.
