2.8 pulley and stage 2

I had a question about the 2.8 pulley. I have a 06 Cobalt ss/sc and I just got the GM stage 2 put on at the dealership so it's been tuned and reflashed. I also installed the k and n intake with it. I was wanting to put the 2.8 pulley on instead of the 3'' pulley. Do I need to have it retuned? Or can I just switch them out. I also have NGK bkr7e plugs that I haven't installed yet. What Kind of gap would I need for the plugs? I don't want to harm my vehicle. If you could help me with this I would appreciate it.

running a 2.8 pulley doesn't require a tune, but you should have it checked with HP tuners, to make sure your not maxing out your injectors

find a local tuning shop, or buy it from www.hptuners.com

This business quoted me $600. I thought that may be too high.

Hahaha damn 600 bucks, for me to try and get a shop to push 300whp out of mine with 60#'s, a 2.6 and with HPT it will only run me 250, and im really going to be pushing it trying to get 300 out of the car.....that is way to high man.

Running a 2.8 on the GM 42# injectors is only safe if you aren't maxing out your injectors. You don't necessarily have to tune, you can run it on the GM stage 2 tune, however you will more then likely be maxing out the injectors so It won't really be "safe" to run into higher RPMs.
