How much are stock polished 18's plus tires worth?

Last month (Feb 10) I flipped my '07 Cobalt over in a ditch after I hit an ice patch and spun out while going ~60 mph. Needless to say it's totalled out and the insurance company now owns it.

Long before I wrecked the car, I swapped out the stock 18" polished wheels and stock Rosso tires for a set of 16" HHR wheels and tires I bought for winter. Now the 18" wheels are sitting here, at my house, collecting dust.

They have about 4,000 miles on them. A guy I work with offered me $600 for all four with tires. Is that a fair price?

I've been watching the classifieds to see what you people are paying for them, and based on what I see, they aren't real sought after wheels and I should probably jump on this guy's offer ASAP, no?

Thanks for any help.

BTW, my gap insurance paid off the loan on the car, and since I really didn't like it that much anyway, I replaced it with an '07 Aveo. So, you won't be seeing me here much anymore. I'm going to apply the money I'm saving per month ($150/mo) an use it toward building up my '71 Camaro.

I've seen them go for $1000+ on e-bay. Which I think is rediculous... but eh.

Rosso tires? I'm not sure on the cost of those.. however I do know that the Parelli tires that came with my 18s cost more roughly 500$ each (new). I was told by the dealer that the MSRP on the rims is about 450$ each as well....

Sorry to hear that. Looks like you will make out though. Loan paid, new car. Saveing cash and can make some off those wheels. Glad to hear you were ok. Come back and visit us with details on how the Camaro build is going.

Those rims also fit the Impala, Malibu and 2.4SS so I wouldn't be too hasty unloading them - sell the tires seperate from the rims and you may make more in the long run

Well, looks like the guy did me a favor. I sold him the wheels and tires, along with the dust shields for $600

They're on E-bay for the second time, and still no bids.

He started the first auction at $800, but lowered it to $650 this time.

I feel evil now. Can you say guilty pleasure?
