hey guys so i was wondering when i buy my cobra heat exchanger is there a way i can make it.. not black lol like iwant it to be silver or u know polished.. can i get it sandblaster or would that ruin the entire thing.. (idk how brutal it is).. or can i paint it??.. will that effect the heat exchange?

When I get my fmhe...of if I ever get it for that matter, i'm painting MemphisR24 on it.....even though that didn't answer your question.....painting it won't affect it....idk about sandblasting though

wont painting the h/e cause it not to dissapate heat properly?

i know a buddy of mine had his car painted and the idiot painted over the rad and it blew cause if that

Depends how much paint you put on it. If you just spray on a couple light coats, I don't see it being a problem. Powder coating would definitely be out of the question!

thats tru, the guy did over spray the crap out my buddy's rad, you should a seen it, it looked like black plastic, some parts of it anyway, you couldnt tell it was alluminum anymore, i personally wouldnt do it, i would rather get a tightly woven mesh grill and paint that, i think that would serve you well

well i dont wanna powder coat it i know that own work lol.. i just dont want it black im gonna rig up soemthing so it hangs in my front bumper an i would like it to be like silver or polished kinnda look.. like an intercooler lol.. i just donno if sand blasting is to powerful or not for it.... an i have aircraft paint remover.. its safe to use on every type of metel an it takes paint off of anthing... lol maybe i could try that
