Wheels for the 2.2

I'm looking at getting some rims & tires for the 2.2
But I want 18".

I don't know how suspension will affect this.
But what size tires should I look into getting with the 18"? Will 215/45/18s be fine?
And how much will those tires affect ride quality? And are 18x7.5s fine for the rims, even though SS/SC models carry 18x7s?

I'm right there with you. I'm looking to getting 18's for my LT. The recommended tire size is 215/40/18 but I have been leaning toward 215/45/18 just for the ride sake. Check out this web site. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
It will also tell you how far your speedo will be off. Hope it helps.

Knock on wood

I haven't had any problems with my 18" wheels yet and I've had them on for 2 years

Nice. I was looking to go with some black rims with a polished lip.
That would probably look good on your car too.

Do you remember what size tires you put on?

JimmiLS05...is your car lowered. I'm getting mine lowered with Eibach sportlines very soon. So I wonder if 18's with a drop would be a problem.

You guys do realize that the tracklites don't have a application to match the cobalt bolt patter, I want them in 17" for my Cavalier but once again no fitment.

Oh wow, I think I had asked for a quote on those.
But I ended up with something different anyway. Just had my wheels put on today. I'll get some pics up soon.

Hey where did you order these from? I have an 05 LS, my local body shop has 3 of these in 18", but one is bent. I'm trying to find a fourth and I can get the set with new tires for $100... which is a steal. Any help? Thanks
