hi this is a stupid question but after doing all my research and stuff i am goin out tomarro to buy myself a cobalt ss/sc ....my question was what the hell is the g85 or 85g package i cant find it anywhere wen i go on gm.ca site under cobalts where u build your own.. HELP

 

g85 has the recaro seats, limited slip, and soemthing else.. maybe..i could be wrong but i know it have the limited slip.. an maybe gunmetal rims?

g85 is the performance package. which includes the performance suspension, limited slip diff and maybe the recaro's. my first one had them my new one diddnt have the recaros

 

so under the build your own cobalt site all i gotta do is pick the limited slip diff as a extra and its the g85 package

 

kinda, its just part of it. when you go to the dealership it will say on the window sticker the g85 package.

 

Well that's true. Basically they don't have the Recaro Performance Package any more, which used to include: LSD Tranny, Recaro Seats, Deleted the Heated Seats Option.
But after they started making the 2007s, they stopped including the Recaro Performance Package and it is now simply the LSD. So, yes, choosing LSD is similar to the old G85 package, just without the nice seats.
