WTB 42 or 42.5 injectors & 2.8 pulley
WTB 42 or 42.5 injectors & 2.8 pulley
im looking for 42.5 or 42 lb injectors with harness if need be...as well looking to be a 2.8 pulley, i have a 2.9 pulley but i wana get 2.8 with the 42's since it will produce a lil more hp and tq so if any1 wants to trade or buy my 2.9 billetflow pulley, let me know...looking to get pulley and injectors asap..
hahaha damn bro your in the same boat as me. im thinking about getting the 60s with harness from new era they are on sale for 199 and thats damn cheap. they are a supporting vendor so check it out.
2.8 isnt small with 42 injectors, u just get a custom tune and your good to go...hmm $199 with harness but then i need a heat exchanger, exhaust, etc to make the injectors actually work 100% right or am i wrong?
Ask distilion what 42 lbs ingectors are good for and he'll tell you the same as me, ask Tag Motorsports for that matter they will say the same if you are going under 3" pully you need 60lbs. 2.8" and 42lbs will make your IDC at about 95% which is no good!!!
Injectors are designed to run at 100% duty cycle that means they are working the way they were designed to. I've been running a 2.9 with Stage kit 42's and I have no problems what so ever. 2.7 and 42's on the other hand, forget about it
100% duty cycle is not good for your injectors , you really shouldn't go past 90% (ideal is 80%) . 100% means they are staying open 100% of the time and not pulsing , otherwise known as static . I am pretty sure the stock injectors max out on a stock SS S/C around 6500 rpms which is why the gm stage 1 is bigger injectors and a reflash raising the rev limiter .
And , the 2.8 pulley will max out the 42 injectors (I tried it) if you tune it with the proper air fuel ratio it should be tuned for , if they aren't maxed out that means your car is running lean . With a 2.8 pulley and some good bolt on mods , you will be around 75% with 60's .

Never tried it , might be ok depending on what else you have done , if the rest of the car is stock it should be ok , but if you have a ported blower , intake , header , etc. I would imagine they would be real close and most likely 100% + . This is if you try to tune the car to 12:1 air fuel ratio , if the car is running around 13:1 which I have seen on some gm stage 2 cars then obviously they won't be maxed out because the pcm is commanding a leaner AFR resulting in a lesser duty cycle , but when tune properly it will be close . Everyone on here just buying injectors and pulleys and running around on mail order tunes I think are crazy personally , the car should be professionally dynotuned , or the owner should have hptuners and a wideband air fuel guage so you can command the necessary AFR and then log your duty cycles with hptuners to make sure everything is ok , but then again , that is just my 2 cents .
We have both for sale , www.neweraperformanceparts.com .
how much would shipping be to to winnipeg, manitoba, canada r3t2w7 for the ON SALE !!!! Sieman Deka 60 lb. injectors (set of 4) with wire harness adaptors for 199.95???
and would 60 lbs be good with a 2.9 pulley for the time being until i do exhaust and he so then i can bring the pulley size down to 2.7?? in your opinion?
