Lets Clear This Up About The Grille Cover.........

There is alot of confusion about the lower grille covers, people getting hosed on the price etc. There are TWO, yes TWO different lower grille covers! The proper cover for the supercharged SS and regular SS are anywhere from 80 to 120 canadian depending how much you get off list price. I paid around 85 bucks shop price when I ordered mine. The cheaper one of 35 bucks or so is MUCH smaller and fits the LS/Base cobalts. There will be ALOT of dissappointed people who order the cheaper one, it is not correct and WILL NOT FIT!

ShaunK you ordered the right one, yes 118 is a little high, but basically you paid list price.

Yes, I paid list..... I asked if you could do better on the price and he said not really... I said fine order. For 10 -20 dollars, I didn't want to shop around.

Thanks for the input. Mine will be in next week.

List does not refer to cost.... List is the recommended sales price. Therefore, List at my dealership is $118 Canadian. or $94 US shipped.

Hi Guys, (this is Tom) I have just caught up to all the posts about the lower grille. I am on vacation this week and review the pricing as well as shipping next week when I get back to work. I know some places have different prices but keep in mind shipping costs and taxes too. I will always do my best to help any customers get the best quality product as well as price. Currently our site (www.crateenginedepot.com) dosn't caculate shipping charges to Canada but I will be happy to caculate them for any one interested. Just drop me a email tom@lattof.org
I have also posted some pictures on our site showing how to install the grille. Check them out here http://www.crateenginedepot.com/cobaltins.html

Thanks to everyone for their posts.

Custom Decal Kit GTX Sport - 50405A Convert a base Cobalt into a profitable fast and furious machine. Kit includes interior and exterior urethane badges, custom windshield graphic, custom body side graphic, pillar badges and key chain. Fits both base and coupe models.

i guess adding decals does make your car faster ... the keychain adds the most power tho

not necessarily to try to deter people from buying the grille from crateenginedepot.com as it looks to me like they do a good job and I'd have no problem buying something from them, but for those looking to pinch pennies and get lowest price on it:
my Chevrolet dealer got me the exact same grille piece as http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...P1319C109.aspx
for US$45 ($47.70 including sales tax here in my town)

I was going to get mine from crateenginedepot.com then thought to ask my dealer and went ahead and had them get it for me since it was cheaper and they werent going to charge me anything for shipping on it etc.

Some dealers may try to rip people on a part like that though, so maybe for some people it might be the best price to get it from crateenginedepot.com

fyi, the install really is ultra easy just as described on http://www.crateenginedepot.com/cobaltins.html
got it from the parts counter at the dealership and walked out to the curb to my car and snapped right in like a charm, not 100% 'tight' fit.. has a bit of play left-right but overall I am very happy with it.

Hi guys, thanks for all the input on this grille. As I mentioned in an earlier post I would review my pricing and I have. I have reduced the sale price to $44.25 and the shipping to $10.95 and for any of you reading this that have purchased one of these from me in the past and paid a higher price please contact me via email (see address below) with your invoice number and I will be happy to off set the difference in merchandise.

(Mike 42) if you were able to buy this locally for the price you paid you got an awesome deal and better bring that parts guy a box of donuts for your future needs.
