SS/SC: Mods, Wash, Wax

Well, Tuesday and Wednesday I worked on my car from the time I woke up and took a shower until I went to bed both days, easily putting in over 25 hours of work on the Cobalt between the two days. Tuesday I cleaned and painted the calipers, and put a "Cobalt" vinyl on the front calipers. Wednesday I finished all of my brakes, adding GM Performance drilled and slotted rotors on all four corners along with a set of "new" rims (18" ALT Sonix - black with polished inside lip) and tires (G-Force KDWs - 235/40ZR18). I proceded by removing the GM badges next to the front wheels, along with the Cobalt SS and Supercharged badges on the rear. Then I took the rest of my night (uhh, until 3 AM) to wash, clay, polish, wax, and buff her until she was absolutely completely spotless. Here is the outcome:

Umm, they look great, but I've only driven around the neighborhood real quick, probably a 2 minute drive, so you'll have to ask again later. I've just been working my ass off to get her to shine good lol

Great job bro, you should be extremely proud of that car. Keep us posted on how those tires hook up for you.

Good work. I too like the wheels a lot. I'm not a huge fan of after market rims, but those are good.

Thanks, everybody. As I'm sure you may be able to tell, I bought the rims/tires off of Badmunky a few days ago. They are 18" ALT Sonix.

I absolutely love the setup, too. Yesterday I gave it a nice rev and spun the tires creating a small, but noticeable amount of rubber in the air. I pushed her through first and second spinning. Why is that great to me? Because that's the first time I hadn't experienced wheel hop! And, for overkill (and future mods), I've got traction bars ready to be put on my car sitting right next to my bed...
