Better MPG!

Just thought I would share my experience with all of you. I recently purchased an Injen SRI/CIA and installed it a while back as a SRI during the winter months. The MPG didn't really change from what it was with the stock intake but the performance increase was noticeable. At the time i was getting around 25MPG City driving. Last week I went and converted it into the CAI with it being nice out now. I know colder air burns better but i was surprised to see that my MPG is up to 29, close to 30 City driving. I was wondering if anyone else noticed this as well

warmer air is less effecient for cars so there is less power to be made thats why cooler temps give better power.

Plus a CAI makes your engine sound like is ripping itself from it's mountings to yell it's fury at the gods!!!!!

Not really but my AEM definitely produces a sound increase in higher RPMS. In idle or normal acceleration driving, still sounds stock and purrs like a kitten.

AFTERMARKET MODS FTW

What GMPP intake do you have. Is it the entire intake or just the filter or what? I have a stock 2.2l and i average 31.5 mixed in the winter, and about 33.5 in the summer. I recently got 38.38 MPG highway when it was 45 degrees F.

constant 32 to 33 mpg in mixed driving, even stay up there if I cruise at 75-80 on the hwy. I want an intake car, I got a dumb ? though I went to gmperformanceparts.com and nothing showed up for cobalt, I believe there is another site for the stuff from gmpp but I do not remember, what is it.

Damn thats good, I average about 27mpg city and 34-35mpg freeway.

But yesterday, i cruised home on the freeway, resetting right when I got on, and maintained 65-70mph for 18 miles. 39.4mpg baby!! With my new downpipe coming in, I am hoping to get that little extra bit to put me over 40mpg. The Toyota Camrys better watch their ass!!!
