I have an safc II in my Sentra, its not just for hondas. I don't think it works as well as hp tuners will with the Cobalt.

Oh, before you splice into the throttle position wires, we actually have 2 different types. TPS1 and TPS2. I "think" 1 is a falling rate and 2 is a rising rate, as in at wide open throttle TP1 will show low volts while TP2 will be high, and at idle, TP1 will be high and TP2 will be low. I think I got the two right, but throw a multimeter on it to be sure.

I heard our cars dont run good with the afc. I looked at many post and someone was trying it on their car and said that its not worth it and that our cars dont run right with the afc. Let me know how the car responds to it though.

Try the crank position wire, or the cam one and change a setting to read double that value maybe? I've never used that device so I'm not sure exactly what it needs, but usually the crank sensor will work. I think the actual tach wire is integrated into the serial bus (GMLAN) along with the rest of the instrument cluster.

ok just got back from a long night at my buddys house. so we wired the afc neo up and checked and double checked the wires. finally after we were sure they were right we turned the car on. it ran like complete ****, sensors werent sending the right signals, no air map, so of course i turned it off instantly till we could figure what was going on. then my friend whose a ase master tech realizes sometthing after looking through the application list. there was one major difference betweeen our car and all the ones in the manual. we have fly by wire throttle bodys. so hence he called his boss at his shop to confirm that sure enough the neo is not compatable with our system. so now im ready to sell my neo

afc are junk i mean if you just want to make some shity numbers and not run rich this is your tool but with the afc you cant control timing meaning that you are limted by how much power you can put out do yourself a favor and get rid of that trash and buy hp tunners worth it in the end trust me

AFC=TRASH
HP=GOOD

The search button on the forum is a good friend; it has been said over and over that these Apexi's won't fit properly for that car.
