Is there a major problem with condensation in the drivers side headlight?
I have seen people on here talking about it before but not lately...I was washing my SS/SC the other day and finally noticed I too had condensation built up inside my drivers side headlight...I got an appointment for this week to replace it...Was this a recall a few months back or has there been anyother recalls for the SS/SC?
I had my passenger side replaced twice already.
if your dealer is giving you the round around, just go to another dealer. my last one was replaced last week, and I only waited a week for the headlight

i've checked two dealers, i even called one parts department saying i needed to buy one and they said the same thing. i guess if the dealer has them, that's the only way your getting it.
Not only did my dealer refuse to replace the light, they friggin' took a ***** out of the front cover when they removed the light to blow out the condensation. They told me GM's policy is that the chrome bezel on the bottom of the bulb assembly must be marked before they can replace the whole light assembly. I told the service advisor where to go and contacted the service manager who completely agreed with my side of the story. Howver, I am pissed that I now have damage to the front cover through no fault of my own and I know if they try to repair they're just gonna make things worse.
You know, it's not GM's product that's the problem most times, it's their bullshit dealers that are.

I must be lucky...the night my wife and I picked up my Cobalt we had a severe thunderstorm and had like 2 inches of rain running down the middle of the road in town...we had the same deal with condensation in the passenger side...I took it to the dealer and they replaced it free of charge and they got the part in 4 days later....like I said...I must be lucky...
GM states condensation is natural. There is a TSB that the dealerships are supposed to follow regarding it.
My headlights have condensation. but its not from them leaking. Its from the atmosphereic conditions.
Now the level of condensation you are talking about may be another story.

JUST TO LET YOU GUYS KNOW!
i recently bought my ss like 2 months ago and i noticed condensation on the passenger side! but i didnt care much because i had just ordered the halo projectors so after i get and ofcourse install em. and guess what! 2-3 weeks down the road the passenger side fogged up too!
so i checked out the headlight and heres my theory...
i think GM did a shitty job making the plastic screw which connects to the small bulb that screws into the parking lamp. sorry dont know the right term.
anyways... i check the one on my left and it perfectly snugg while the passenger side is loose and could definitely be a reason for condensation, i thought it was ironic that the same side had condensation, so it has to be that...
SO that being said... check your "bulb with plastic screw" if its loose it could be defective. this is my theory but in the next couple of days im gonna see if i can tighten it. ill let u guys know the outcome
