The only way this could have helped if there was air in the stock brake lines. Otherwise it's not really a performance modification.

i disagree, steel braided lines prevent the inner rubber line from expansion. Also, I can now run a better brake fluid, DOT 4, which has better water absorbtion properties and heat range, which relieves brake fade even more.

ask anyone, stainless steel braided lines is a performance mod.

uhhhh dude, it improves pedal feel and overall brake responsiveness. the old rubber hose expands with continuous hard braking due to the excess heat. Stainless steel lines do not.

i dont know if your being serious. but wow. Stainless lines for cosmetic? i dont think so. the name itself is common sense for tough. Lasts long, and doesnt expand. your "stainless steel" forks dont expand when u heat them up do they? compared to the plastic ones that if u microwave will melt.... metal is obviously better seeing as how the stainless braiding covers the rubber inside so if the rubber WANTED to expand the stainless braids restrict that movement. =D

2.4 & 2.0 = same brakes front and rear. The ones for the 2.2 would be the front lines only.

2.2 and 2.4 have the same brakes. the 2.0 has larger rotors and calipers.

10.1 inch for the 2.2/2.4
11.7 for the ss cars.

Hmmmm. Weird. Well all the lines should be the same unless the calipers are mounted differently. Are the rear rotors on the 2.0 and 2.4 different as well? I had always thought the brakes were the same on all the 4 wheel disc Cobalts. On all the auto parts sites replacement blanks are always listed as 4 wheel or 2 wheel disc, no separate options on the 4 wheel ones.

ebc numbers
2.0 - pads - gd21763
2.2 - pads - gd21660
2.4 - pads - gd21660

rotors - gd7265
2.2 - gd7264
2.4 - gd7264

rears are listed for the rear of the ss, not the 2.2/2.4 cars.

same thing with brembo and baer

Goodridge makes steel brake lines for the SS. You can get them from PFYC and Tirerack. I like em, makes the brakes respond so much smoother and firmer.
