Black Cat customs does awesome work! The problem is he's not very reliable and he takes forever to do them. I gave up after I waited for almost 2 months and got a refund.
He's a cool guy tho. Good luck.

Be sure you just get the overlay and don't try to replace the cluster with the Chevy one. They are different and incompatible.

because some clusters only go to 120, while others go to to 140, or 170.

There are 3 different gauge clusters for the Cobalt. The base model cluster is a 120 MPH gauge with a 7K Tach, black faced. The up-level LT's and the SS have a 140 MPH gauge and 8K Tach, white faced. The SS/SC goes back to black, and had a 160 MPH gauge. Each cluster also has a different ROM flash program to indicate correctly and communicate with the ECM (which controls it). If you plug a different cluster into the car, the ECM won't communicate with it. Additionally, the increments on the gauge face plates are different, as described above.

What? If you get the cluster designed for your car, then obviously it will work. But it will still be the same color.
