It's offical, Diablo sport will be tuning Ecotec's


This is great news for the 2.2's and 2.4's out there

it's doubtful you'll be able to do this one yourself. the Focus SVT has "dealer only" tunability due to the "complexity of the Focus SVT's ECM" ... so yeah.

However the 2.4L has already been tuned by HP Tuners, so why not the Diablo Predator?

 

The predator is around 375-450

 

I need the Racer Package, any idea if they are putting that out.

 

i'm not saying predator can't tune it, i'm saying that, judging by the text on their site for the Focus SVT, you likely won't be able to SELF tune the thing, and will have to find a shop that tunes w/ Diablo to get your tuning done

You can tweek the tune using the Predator, but you can not create a tune. And I dont see how the CMR would work on are ECM's.

 

CMR to make the tune Push it to the Predator, flash with the predator

I just talked to them on the phone and sent an e-mail per their request to be the test 2.4L car. I live approximately 20 minutes away from their main facility in Boca Raton, Florida.

We shall see if this pans out...I sure hope so. It would be neat to be involved in the development of a new product!
