is it an ss spoiler?

i have asked on here a few times and never got a reply on how to remove the stock spoiler!

my ss has 2 screws and the double sided tape, that dam tape doesnt want to let that spoiler come off.

I doubt that a hairdryer will help? maybe? I wonder if there is a remover specifically for it, besides goo gone. my best guess is goo gone for now though..

i never got a reply, or suggestions hopefully people will see it here

you can cut through the glue with fishing line after removing the screws and then remove the rest of the glue with goo gone. Piano wire will work to you just have to be real careful with that.

Get you some 3m adhesive remover and squirt it between the trunk and spoiler. Let it sit for a couple minutes then put a steady pull on spoiler and it should start to come up. Don't jerk it or you may pull the paint off. I did this on my GTP and it was 5 years old.

Fishing line does NOT work I had 75 lbs line when i took off mine and it did NOT work. I snapped the line and nearly ripped myy hands appart doing so. the best thing to use is a heat gun and a friend to help lift it off evenly.

Get a plastic razor blade and a heat gun BUT BE VERY CAREFUL not to heat it up to much !!!!!! for you might bubble your paint or damage the car, once heated up slowly take off but BE CAREFUL

Use a heat gun, you can rent one from Home Depot for like 12$, or, you can buy one for I think as low as 25.00.

Use that, and a lot of patience, and it will slowly come off.

It will help A LOT, if you have someone to help you!

As for the residual glue, Goo gone probably works, however I had my best luck with a rag and rubbing alcohol.

Good luck either way!

Also, remember that the paint on our cars is relatively crappy, and therefore, be careful when using a heat gun! Dont ever put it on its highest setting!

When I took the emblems off of my base model, i bubbled the **** out of the paint.
That was using the high setting on the heat gun. just a heads up!

The one I rented from Home Depot had two settings.
