Are you sure you're not thinking about Nov 12th @ Speedworld? Oct 29th is listed as a normal 6pm to midnight Sat Night drags...

Also Oct 2nd (Sunday) is Club day. If you guys have a club (even it it isn't an incorporated club) give Victoria a call and sign up. The SRT-4 club will be out there with everything from Stockers to a few low 12/high 11 sec cars.

They do now. During the hotter months it started at 8pm.
Also I think the Speedworld Website is wrong it's probably 6 to 10~10:30, rather than 6 to midnight. It is usually ~4hrs worth of racing.

I was out there, ran several low 12's on my street tune (~400whp), including a 12.2 where the new slicks finally hooked up well and I got a 1.9 60'... then proceeded to miss the 3-4 shift. That run had 11's written all over it, if I hadn't missed the stupid shift.

But then I smoked my clutch, so it looks like I'll just be a spectator next weekend at Club day :( I've got to figure out what clutch to run now. I'm thinking about a twin disk setup...

Is that thing still streetable ?

mchat
09-24-2005, 09:57 PM
Yup. At least according to Clucthmasters it is...

It'll hold up to 900ft lbs at the flywheel. After an engine rebuild next year and a 100 shot of nitrous, I should be right at 800ft lbs at the flywheel... so it'll have a little extra insurance. :D

I had a stage 4 on my GSX and it was streetable... but just barely... Basically had to dump it at 2k to get going without stalling.... You absolutely could NOT slip it... but that was awhile ago now... Things are always changing... theyve probably improved design quite a bit !

OniMirage.... Welcome ! :cssNET:

I'll be out there Sunday for sure. If I am racing or not will depend on how fast the new clutch gets here. I'm hoping that it'd get here by Wednesday/Thursday... if it does, I'll be doing the clutch swap Wed and Thursday evening. And taking it for a cruise Friday to break it in before hitting the dyno on Saturday and Track on Sunday...

Yep that was me. I did meet someone from the forums, but I don't recall catching his name. I had just pulled up and expected to wait for the car to cool off a little bit and the staging guy waved me up... that was the run that I smoked the clutch on so I changed back to the street tires after that run. By the time I got the street tires on everyone was taking off and they were announcing that the staging lanes were closing.

Great runs!! I'd read your sig many times and really wanted to see an SRT run this hard. Missed the run with the mis-shift but watched several of the other runs. Nice talking to you in the staging lanes too. Nice car....great performance.

Yep...twas I. Didn't run Friday as I want to get my MM inserts installed first. Cant' compete with the SRT's and STi's but hope to break 14's. Ran 15.2 with only CAI and with Hondata and inserts, I hope to knock off a couple tenths.

Didn't see any Cobalts our there....perhaps at October SCO.
