News on the new cobalt
according to june 2007 motor trend the new cobalt, g5, and other platform holders will be due late 2009 and the new 700hp corvette codenamed Blue devil is rumored to have C7 parts and be named Z07
well i drove the c6 z06 and almost **** myself....i was going 50 in first and lost traction and got sidways, what do you think is going across someones mind when they might wreck a 80 thousand dollar car.....
vettes are my fav cars and i've been keeping tabs on this for quite a while. the last actual numbers i saw were said to 680+ hp with 600+ tq and it'll be the standard c6 z06 look to it with a few mods in the hood and possibly sitting a little lower but one of the biggest things will be that it will be made mostly of carbon fiber to reduce the weight of the car even more than the current z06 is now. they will change the scoop on the hood and add some little extra viper type things on the back sides of the hood. they are only going to make about 250 (i think it's higher but i don't remember exactly) a year or somethin small like that and are expected to be right around $100,000.
it hasn't been decided yet about the name, they are sayin possibly the ss badge will be on there or bring back the stingray name or call it the z07 and blue devil has been goin around as well. so don't expect too much of a difference in the look besides the hood will look a little meaner and it will be carbon fiber to make it lighter.
i'm not sayin this is how it will be and that i know that for a fact but i've been reading up on this car for around a year now checking into it considering they are my favorite cars. this is all that i've gathered since i've been reading up on it and i've heard all of this from many different sources, motor trend being one of the biggest ones. below is an image of the first pics released by motor trend last summer that had gotten my attention.

wheel hop can be managed if u drive properly, just like wheel spin
they need to take care of the dead end fuel system along with another mount for the engine to take load off the 2 trans ones so they dont break, and better gears in the trans so they can take abuse and take care of them steering knuckles .... they built this care knowing who would by them and what they would do with them so at least build a car that can shine its glory and last.
