When you install the Turbo Tech Racing engine mount and the trans mount, the vibs after 500 miles are just like stock (hardly any) and yet the engine after this time has no movement.

We have a very unique design (square Vs Round) bushing and it helps keep the engine from rotating as the cobalts have no lower engine mount, just a top one. So the square bushing helps prevent this twisting action

Many will agree the TTR mount has very little vibs and is great for DD.

I'll be going with the ttr engine mount when I get some $$ flow. I definitly see the advantages of the square mount vs the round one.

Yeah sounds like a good plan. I don't think you'll notice much of a diffrence, solid is solid.

Well the difference is that the round one could actually rotate in the mount itself as it's located on the side of the engine. There will be no rotating of a square. That should limit even the slightest of movement.

Yeah but your never gonna feel the diffrence. In theory is it better, but lets be honest, will you ever feel the diffrence?

Well I would imagine you wouldn't feel it. BUT in time I would also imagine that the round mount could come loose in it's housing and begin to spin. I'm not sure if this ever happened with the ones in question but I would rather just buy the ttr one and that way it could never happen. I have seen stock mounts (not cobalt) get loose in their housings at work.

Yea, I saw them come lose and make nasty clunk noises. But I can see where your comign form with buying the good one from the start. I too am curious to see if anyone actually had any problems with the round ones.

I dont think they will have any issues with the round, we just help prevent any long term issues with the square design, as the round one has not been out long enough to know.

The ONLY reason we went with square is there is only one engine mount on the cobalt, and not a lower mount like the cavalier/sunfire had. With the lower mount it stopped the twisting (axial) movement. We just wanted to be unique and offer the best available mount avoiding any issues.

TTR the only mounts that have the square ones? How are Bwoody's mounts? I know I like both TTR and Bwoody have good names going for them. The Bwoody mounts look very nice but its all about performance for me.

We use the unique square bushing design.

Also, our upper support is NOT a block of steel, with holes in it, that has a bolt to connect to the lower base. OUR Turbo Tech Racing upper support is a 1 piece CNC machined 6061 T6 Aircraft grade aluminum.
