GM Stage 3 Pulley Install = Success
GM Stage 3 Pulley Install = Success
Well I just got done installing the GM stage 3 pulley onto my stage 2 setup. I am just heading out to see how it runs. It is pretty warm outside so I am sure it will not be up to full boost completely. The other night it was warm out my stage 2 pulley wasn't even pulling 15 psi. Hopefully a little torque and hp was gained.
haha, i just posted in another thread about this. Let me know how it works for you man I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Where did you get the stage 3 pulley? how hard was the install? thanks bro.
Install was pretty simple. The hardest part was getting the damn bolts off. They were pretty tight. DO NOT take the belt off first or you will never hold the pulley and get the bolts off. I actually put the car in gear and just kept pulling on them till the tranny held it then I loosened them up. I think I answered all the questions you asked.

I am not using the stock plugs. I have the one stage NGK's.
It helps having two people to tell you the truth. Me and my dad did it. He pushed on the tensioner with a 15mm and I put the belt back up on. People said before it was a bitch, but it really wasn't that bad. The belt is tight, but not where you can't get it. It was kinda tough to get the belt in the right grooves on the bottom pulley, but that was it really. 15 min job honestly, if that.

I have no idea. I know you would see more boost, which, like you said, is obvious. This pulley is a 76mm which is 2.99". The pulley was actually pretty heavy too. I thought it would have been a lot lighter than it was for how small it is.
Well it definitely boosts quicker. I didn't really get on it too hard but it did touch 15 psi. The warm weather definitely effects it. On a nice cool night I will find out what it can boost. I actually got it on ebay, the guy that was selling it is a member on here. I got it for 82 shipped and CED wanted 114. I even called the GM dealer, I can get it for list price, and they wouldn't sell it to me for under 115.

I am sorry, honestly. But I always do that when I bid. That way you can't jump in. You def. would have got it for like 45 bucks too. I had to jump to like 80 to get ya. I was wondering if anyone on the site was the one who was bidding on it. Like I said earlier, I do like to buy stuff new, especially for my car. I just can't see myself spending 115 for a damn pulley. Again, I apologize.
His user name is NHERBST454... look it up! I just checked, and he sold me my last for 55 + shipping (8$ USPS to canada) so prob less within the states. However I have been buying a few off of him. So maybe like 60 at the most for you, prob 55 like me man. Hes a good guys and makes a good product. I wouldnt refer to him if his product wasnt awesome.
Tell me about it. I hate going out to race in weather like this, but we have this nasty weather for 11 months of the year, so i'm SOL. Got in some good runs tonight though, two turbo 240SX's and one SRT4, all kills. Just sucks having 98% humidity and 85 degree temps at night.
Just get a 2.8 or 2.85. A 2.99 isn't going to do that much more than regular stage 2
