What the s/c ss intercooled rated up to for hp? What are all the things you can change to make it better? i.e. dual pass, new heat exchanger? and would that mean the intercooler can handle more power now or if the bottom intake(intercooler) still to weak for higher hp? Thanks sorry if you dont understand what im really asking.

 

Things like the cobra h/e, dual pass, playing with different liquid combinations and such will all help to lower your intake temps. You can also get into things like alcohol injection too. Problems come with overspinning an already inefficient supercharger (roots) with super small pulleys that heats it up so bad. I'm sure with a bigger blower, more efficient one, turbo, cooling mods, or other ways to make more power instead of just high boost like cams/ported head/bolt ons the intercooler will work out for quite some power.

 

I have an extra he with the dual pass end plate 2.5" pulley, ported blower and my Iat 2 will get up to 180*f on hard pulls to 4th gear. It recovers fast but I think the limitations are the laminova cores in the intercooler.
