Fans desired % vs AC Pressure?

Hey guys,
I wanted to have my fans come on to keep the car cool at the track, and i noticed that fans desired % vs ECT won't kick on till 192F. But whats this Fans desired % vs AC Pressure? Its set at 0% @87psi, then 20% @105psi. What AC pressure is it referring too? Does anybody know?

Thanks,
Nate

if you want teh fans on all the time just put it to 100% in the 192F column. in the fans vs. ect window. should be on all the time then.

Thats what i thought too..but they won't come on till ect hits 192f. I want them on sooner. A local RL had soembody do his tune, and they are on pretty much 40% all the time. The guy (not local) changed the desired % in the AC pressure table. But I want to find out what that means.

Fans will come on anytime the AC compressor clutch is locked up. Its to keep the engine cool for two reasons: the AC condensor is throwing off heat which impedes the radiator's ability to do its job and also the AC compressor puts an added strain on the engine.

Those settings are just for when the air conditioning is turned on.

To answer your question about having fans on all the time...change your 192 setting. If temp drops below this, the table is out of range and it should use the last known value (the 192 value).

K. Can you explain how that table works? I see on that tune, they are slightly changed...but what do 0->1, 1->2 values control/come from?

that link should help a bit.

you have 2 fans fan 1 and 2.

the value in the cell 0->1 is where fan 1 will turn on.
the value in the cell 1->2 is where fan 2 will turn on.
the value in the cell 2->1 is where fan 2 will turn off.
the value in the cell 1->0 is where fan 1 will turn off.

so lets say

0->1= 48
1->2 = 65
2->1 = 60
1->0 = 46

this means that fan 1 will tun on at 48% desierd and will turn off at 46% desierd.
fan 2 will turn on at 65% and turn off at 60%

hope this helps

you can hook the fans up to a switch like i did, did this when mase and installed the LC-1 for me
swtich to the left, everything is normal, switch to the right, its in tune/track mode fans are on as soon as Lc-1 warms up at start up

^ this is only good with an LC1 since the high voltage readings from the wideband cause the fans to turn on then you tap the wideband line into the AC pressure sensor.
