Keep your dirty hands off of my Cobalt SS!

So, I have a Black SS which is really wonderful for fingerprints. When I get in my car I make sure I only touch the door handle and when I get out I close the door by touching the pillar. When I go to work I make sure I park by a window so I can keep an eye on it, but when it gets busy I'm running around like an idoit and don't get to keep a really good eye on it. Bottom line is that I have come accustomed to walking up to my car after work covered in fingerprints, but yesterday I got in my car and I turn to look out my driver side window and there is a friggin forehead print on the window. I don't car if people are checking my car out, but look with your eyes not with your hands. Does anyone else here always find fingerprints all over there car?

That and every Thursday the company below us sells burgers for charity so I can almost guarantee I'm coming out of work on Thursday evenings to mustard on my spoiler...that's right mustard and yes 2 out of 3 times it has been on my spoiler ...and I've got the LS!

I'm the same as you look but don't touch. I saw a blue SS in the mall parking lot the other day and I went up and looked inside, I didn't need to stick my damn face on the window to see what colour the inserts were...I think in general dumb ppl just **** me off .

People are idiots. i have looked at several cobalts in my school parking lot while waiting for mine to arrive, they were all base or ls, not ss like mine but i just wanted to look. i never leaned against it or touched it. people are ignorant.

That's exactly what I said the first time I saw it...I looked across the street and saw the 2 picnic tables, looked at my spoiler with its' mustard spots...couldn't quite put two and two together but I'm thinking someone was extremely confused .

I Only see few cobalts. like 2percent out of 100..

But i never see an ss.. YU got to order them rite? Well i only saw a ss'basess' not the sc in the dealer lot. But if i do see your car..lol i mean a ss, i would only go as far as protecting my forehead with my hands, and not touch the window. But if some1 pushed me, i would just get cuff hand prints on your window..lol... you know the (_0_)shape prints..lol. Round here the only balts i see, are alot of sedans, and like 1 blk ls coupe. go fig..

*hav a nice day.. i wont touch your car.. but my eyes will...lol

While we are off topic about seeing SS/SC, the only one I have seen on the road is well um.....mine lol.

Now back on topic. I can't stand when I have tons of fingerprints all over my windows or doors.

Someone beat you to it (sorta). In south africa, there's a car theft prevention which shoots out flames from the bottom of the side door. I assume if you modify that and replace the gasoline with fake blood, you can get it to work. Wheather you want to put in the time and money that's your call.

when I first got the car I had people doing the same exact thing, oh and the best part was I could see them doing it all day. when somebody got real interested in it I hit the panic alarm.

You could have gone out and seen this instead of fingerprints. I park as far away as I can and how does this happen.

I don't know about you guys, but I'd sure get an ego boost if people looked into my car.

you are lucky, i went to the grocery store and came out finding a dent from another person's car door. wtf, i parked all the way in the back, and i still get a dent from someone else's door.

having loved my car being perfect, now it feels like its a piece of crap, even though its perfectly fine.

I work for Wendy's. So it's probably only a matter of time before I come out and find mustard on my car or other condiments.

But I also think it's flattering when I see someone looking at my car, especially while driving. I notice this car attracts a lot of women.

My black S/C feeds my ego greatly, but when people start leaving head prints and such on the car, that ego is quickly turned to anger, but as was stated earlier by another member. Gives me all the more reason to clean it, cause when it's all done it's sick

My question is what happened to the time where people respected cars? I don't even let my own girlfriend touch the painted parts of my car anywhere but on the inside of the door handles. As far as other people's fingerprints... I haven't noticed any yet but I'd certainly be pissed if I found some. The only thing that really gets me... how do you shut the trunk on these things without leaving prints? For heaven's sake don't shut it by the wing either.
