Unhappy How much is my car worth now?

As some of you know, I posted several days ago about towing with my LS and/or my options to make it possible, and unfortunetly the answer was a pretty much BIG NO-NO.

Over the past week, I've begun a scheme of selling it, even though I don't want to. I needed another back-up car before I could start trying, and tuesday night I picked up a 1993 BMW 318is. Another little four-banger, but I like it and got a hella deal on it, so I took it when I had the chance.

Now I can begin working on selling this car, but do you guys know about how much it's worth, real world value?

I think KBB or NADA finally came up with a price, of like $11,700 or something, but I payed 14k OTD, and owe 13,300.

My car is manual everything, btw.

Am I really gonna have to come up with almost $2000 for someone to take this off my hands?

I would say yeah, you're going to have to come up with AT LEAST $2k for someone to take it off your hands. Most people don't want manual everything. Color can also detract from the desirability of the car. Also, if you (or anyone) has ever smoked in the car. Etc, etc.

i'd be surprised if you got any more than 10,000 for a base cobalt with roll down windows and pull/push locks.

i hope it all works out for you! make sure you research what the new car can tow before you get it

Ugh!

Thanks for the quick replies guys...

These next few months of saving to throw it all way are gonna blow.

And I'm def. getting a pick-up so that I don't even have to worry about the towing capacities and trailers and stuff...just a cheap truck and a cheap ramp.

10k was it's trade-in value at carmax about 3 months ago, and now there's dealer incentives out. I'd just take it in for trade in, but I don't want another car in the first place, and don't really want a payment anymore either, lol.

If I'm only getting 10K for a fully loaded sedan... you're NOT getting the same for a featureless coupe.
