Can anyone help me!!

Im in the process of putting my stock shifter back in. Everyting was assembled back together without a problem until i was going through the gears and now i cant get it into 5th without lifting the reverse lockout knob. Can anyone help?

Make sure you put the plastic lock ring back on the correct way. I had that problem in my cav. Try that it should work.

when you put it back together it should have a plastic retainer at the bottom of the shifter. If you take it out it would still work you just wouldn't be able to lock yourself from accidentally going into reverse.

Yup, check out the white plastic thingy mobober that's hooked onto the shifter under the boot. There is a spring between that and the black part above it. If you put it on wrong it won't work right. Just pop it off (careful the spring goes flying), and rotate it till it works. I think it'll only go on 2 ways so try it 180* first.
