Question Tell me about this Turbo/Supercharger?

I read somewhere a company sells a turbocharger for the supercharged cobalt, so it will be supercharged and turbo'd? is this true?

tags turbo is just a turbo kit...drop the supercharger and strap on a turbo...now there are cars that have had a supercharger and a turbo but to my knowledge the cobalt doesnt have that.

Hahn has a kit like you're talking about. I haven't heard of it actually working though. The only guy I heard of buying one ended up selling it. I guess it's just a tuning nightmare!

Turbochargers themselves are universal as long as they match up to the flange of the manifold.

It's because our supercharger is inefficient and once you begin spinning it over a certain speed it creates more heat then horsepower. Since there is no viable supercharger swap for our cars right now people are dropping the supercharger and going with a turbocharger to get extra horsepower. Although I've seen very few people do this yet but it's been a hot topic for a month or so now.

Turbo's can generally give more HP but not as quickly or as soon as a supercharger can. (they need to spool up)
It's a good thing for FWD cars because if your try and dump too much power through the wheels from a dig you'll either burn the tires up or wheel hop and snap an axle.

Plus from what I understand Turbo's generally last a bit longer. Since they aren't boosting 100% of the time.

I believe her car hardly runs as well. I saw it @ HIN though, the only cobalt there, it would do a lot more for me if I knew it ran
