Turbo/Supercharger Sensor
Turbo/Supercharger Sensor
So my Cobalt SS has been randomly throwing two codes- P0236 Turbo/Supercharger Sensor A and P2187 System too lean at idle bank 1. The check engine light comes on and the car just looses all turbo function, from how it feels. There is no go, no pick up.
I read through a few threads and one mentioned that the MAF Sensor needed to be cleaned, so I did. Car was fine for about 2 months and now back to square one. The service engine light came on again yesterday and was on for a while. I left the car parked for about an hour and when I came back, no more light and the problem appeared fixed. My next guess was there is a leak at the sensor? Sound right? I am kind of lost as to what the problem is.
I was wondering if anybody had any insight on this. I'm basically a noob and could use any helpful input haha. Thanks

More likely its a leak at a sensor or it has a bad connection somewhere.

Bringing this post back from the dead... lol
Figured out the problem! ...Mostly anyways. We will start with me wrecking my Cobalt... Whoops!
Insurance was fixing it, found an aftermarket MAP sensor. They wanted to go stock so they did and my car threw a fit, wouldnt start, ran like crap when it did run etc. They went back and ordered the stock sensor it had and installed that and the car ran like a champ. Honestly, better than it has since I owned the dang thing. I'm still not sure what the issue was while I had the car and why the check engine light was coming on for the sensor. *Shrugs*
Guess I'll wait and see how long the cobalt likes this MAP sensor.
