So I replaced my intake gasket thinking that was my vacuum leak but I still have a leak somewhere.. Mechanical boost guage reads 4-5psi less than factory Guage.. If I spray carb cleaner on right side of motor around the injector and manifold the idle screws up I can also hear a whistling nose.. Anybody have tips to find this mystery leak? 05 LSJ

 

Did you examine the intake manifold for cracks while you had it off? Did you check the condition of the supercharger gasket?

 

Yea I didnt see any crack on the manifold and the rubber part of sc gasket was good...I have been reading and is it possible its coming from the injector insulator ive already replaced orings

Thats what Im guessing hopefully my local dealer has one,,would that cause a vacuum leak?

 

Does the idle bog down a bit when you spray around the injectors? I had the same exact issue and injecotrs werent sealed.

In my case, my id1000s were pushing past the sleeves so there was space between the oring and sleeve. I solved that by cramming a few oring between the injects and isolators lol

 

Yea it bogs bad and I'm going to try a new insulator first I guess I doubt my local dealer will have one though
