TVS Install Question NOT MAP SENSOR RELATED

Hey guys just installed my TVS this weekend and had an issue with the throttle body gasket. My original off of the m62 was way too thick to use so I installed the throttle body without it and sure enough I've got a vacuum leak. What has everyone else used? Just trim the gasket to fit? Also is there anywhere else people normally get vacuum leaks after installing a tvs?

trim it down and, clean the surfaces and use some RTV High Heat Silicone for a perfect seal if you are still worried.
