Bored (TB) Throttle body

hey just wondering what kind of gains we would achieve from boring our throttle bodies?

does anyone know the stock size? i think read somewhere maybe 70mm? i also heard that boring them out on our cars wouldnt do much, but what do i know, and who knows where i hear this stuff

what do you guys think? can this mod mess anything up?

stock is between 75-78 mm, i highly doubt it would be a good mod. Also, i dont think you can bore out a stock TB. It would have to be a completly new one as the metal is pretty thin as it is stock.

i was just going by zinner's pic of his TB, but he had his in inches and it was slightly angled so that number was just a guess. Although 69mm is still a big TB for a sc 4 banger

how big is the SMS one?

I don't think theres gonna be a whole lot gained from a bigger throttle body on these cars.
